Artist's Description
The A-bomb dome stands as a reminder to us all of the devastation wrought on the city and its people. Visiting Hiroshima was a life-changing experience for me. As I saw the artifacts of the victims at the Peace Memorial Museum, I was moved not just to tears but violent sobs. My wish is that all world leaders see this place and contemplate on the atrocity of war.The skeleton of the building reminds us of the "skeletons" in our closets that we may wish to ignore but must acknowledge if we are to move forward.
This painting was selected for the Hawaii Watercolor Society's juried 2015 annual open show.
