In Kichijoji, Tokyo there is a very popular park called Inokashira Koen. On the weekends it is packed with visitors, vendors, and performers. This scene was a peaceful weekday morning before the crowds arrived. This painting was selected for the 2016 Hawaii Watercolor Society's annual juried Open Exhibition.
